There is a tear just above the "20" in the center but it is not visible in the pictures and it is about a half a MM long.  The corners are quite sharp - the lower left corner has a slight fold. This $20 certificate in gold coin and is a true treasure of US history and it is in amazing condition. On the front of this note is the bust of George Washington with a terrific Gold Seal while on the reverse are what is often referred to as the Presidential Seal all in orange.
