Without a doubt one of the most eye appealing Type One San Fran deliveries available on the market today. This coin is original as the day is long, totally unmolested with thick original skin and way above average luster with a touch of golden brown autumn toning on both the obverse and reverse. The fields on the Type One Standing Liberty Quarters are generally satiny and somewhat granular, and with so many dipped examples the luster is like dull aluminum. Not on this baby! The strike is also well above average from Miss Liberty's Head down to all 10 toes, as the 1917-S is known as the weakest struck of the three mint marks issued. Moving on to the reverse the Eagles Breast feather and inner wing details are... well pardon the french but it's just struck like a Moose! Again 1917-S Type Ones like this example are few and far between!  This example is a solid MS65 with a MS66 detailed reverse and MS66 eye appeal.
