Presented to you in this exciting eBay auction is a superb 1915 Saint-Gaudens graded solidly at MS64 with PCGS. This is by far the nicest MS64 I've handled from the 1915 Philadelphia mintage, which in my opinion should receive a higher grade than the one it has now. Back in 1915, the Philadelphia Mint produced a relatively low original mintage of 152,050 Saint-Gaudens gold Double Eagles, and over time most of this mintage has been lost to circulation or destroyed during the massive bullion melts of the 1930's. Today, only a small fraction has survived to grade at Gem MS64 or higher with professional grading services like PCGS. You will be hard-pressed to find a finer example, as ONLY 32 pieces have certified at Gem MS65 with PCGS and NONE have graded higher! This high-end gem rarity has tremendous upside investment potential. Currently, Coin World Trends shows a conservative value of $8,000 for the 1915 Saint-Gaudens in Choice MS64 grade. Compared with the next highest grade (MS65), which commands a steep $35,000, the choice MS64 is a great bargain.
