This is a group of 1949 Booker T. Washington commemorative half dollars represented by each mint. All are certified as mint state 66s. The 1949 has a subdued luster from the start of toning. The facial marks are at a minimum on the jaw line. A full strike as expected with blemish free surfaces. Only five coins grade higher by PCGS. The 1949-D is another correctly graded coin with a minimum of contacts on the jaw line. The luster is bold and vibrant across the fields on a coin as fresh as the day it was struck. The pop report shows but twelve higher and all in 67. The 1949-S is equally matched with the previous two in strike, and surface marks. The luster is stellar and the halo effect is in full force with cartwheel displays when played upon by light. The pop report states that there are only thirteen graded above this one at 67!
