All Bonds are truly enormous Museum Pieces!!!              These very rare and historic bonds were issued by the Government of the Chinese Republic from its first year of existence (1913) until 1923. They are the 5% to 8% Gold Loans for the Construction and operation of the Lung-Tsing-U-Hai Railway, which was China's First Railroad!!               The bonds were payable in Gold, Francs and/or Pounds Sterling.        The financing was remarkably international for the day. Issued in Brussels, the bond certificate is printed in both French and English. Legal action is underway for the redemption of bonds like this at many, many times our low starting price. However, the sheer collector value of these gems in the offered condition based on rarity and collector demand alone is $150 or more.           The beautifully engraved designs are nothing less than spectacular, with very ornate borders, embossed international treasury seals, and multi-lingual titles.  There are multiple large red Chinese "Chops" at the bottom of each bond, with 3 hand signatures and additional overprinting in black Chinese characters. The bonds are almost equally ornate on the back!!        The bonds are POSITIVELY ENORMOUS, weighing in at up to 18" x 26" with the coupon sheets - you might need to build an addition onto your home to make room for these wonder pieces if you want to display them matted and framed under spotlights!            Condition of the bonds ranges from clean crisp VF all the way to totally mint, unlike the rags you so often get on Ebay. Premium quality for the age and rarity!! The rare early blue one is mint!! Most coupons are included with all the bonds!! Counting the large coupon sheets, this lot consist of 8 pieces!!! The Lot may also include rare international transfer documents from the 1920's or 30's that are worth $10 or more each. Layout of coupons, style of chops and other minor details may differ from scans. GUARANTEED BEST CHINESE BOND DEAL ANYWHERE!!
