I made only 21 of these nickels.  A few of them will be placed into circulation for some lucky people to find, and I may list a few on eBay over the coming months if there is any interest in them.  At some future point I expect to also counterstamp some 1912 cents, dimes, quarters, and half dollars, although the mintages on those will be significantly less than the nickels.  (All of the 1912-dated coins used for this project will be lower grade coins in the AG-G range, so I am not destroying any legitimate collectable coins). My goal is to create hundreds or thousands of counterstamped coins in the next few years as the 100th anniversary approaches, but only a tiny fraction of that number will be coins dated 1912.
