Description
Here is a wonderfully attractive example of the 1909-S VDB Lincoln, a key-date coin currently enjoying huge demand. This cent was stored for many decades in a 1960s-made Whitman Bookshelf album. When put away, the coin was almost certainly a full-red gem, as brilliant as any copper cent fresh from a roll. As those well-versed in Lincoln cents will know, such album storage tends to cause a rainbow-color effect, just as this pretty coin exhibits. Yes, the color is a bit subdued, affected by close, longterm contact with the traces of sulfur in the album's composition -- but remains a terrific example. This item opens with a token bid and there is no reserve. We do not end auctions early for the purpose of a quick sale. When there is no Buy-It-Now price, there will not be one. Please take a moment to read Payment Instructions & Return Policy for shipping costs, return privilege details and other pertinent information. Thanks so much for your interest!
