Description
1900 * LAFAYETTE *$1* PCGS * MS-60 * Light and desirable Toning ** 1900 * LAFAYETTE * $1 * PCGS * MS-60 * Light and desirable ANTIQUED Toning ** Looks like an "off white color". A very nice, COMMEMORATIVE COIN WITCH USUALLY IS MUCH MORE TONED IN ANY GRADE-graded by PCGS this time. Sharply struck - for this issue - and VERY ATTRACTIVE. An MS-60 in a PCGS holder - witch brings over $1350 in auctions.*** Don't miss this nice, affordable Commemorative coin. *** Please click bellow to see all my auctions, photo gallery style*** This is a solid investment, well worth bidding on now. This market is demanding higher, and higher prices for these early desirable dates, as the supply of nice gradable coins is evaporating fast. I think the time to buy is now!!! S/H/I-PLEASE SEE ABOVE-second coin, or more, only $4.95 ea. - same day or weekend purchase. *** For *MANY* more gold/silver coins please visit our "EABY STORE" !! ***************** ABOUT THE "Lafayette Dollar" Silver Commemorative OF 1900. " The obverse of the coin displays jugate portraits of Lafayette and Washington AND is undated, bearing only the inscriptions United States of America and Lafayette Dollar. The reverse features a bas-relief rendition of Lafayette's statue. It also pays tribute to American schoolchildren, who raised $50,000 to help pay for the monument to be placed in Paris at the Louvre. The Lafayette Dollar is historically significant as the first United States coin to depict an important American - George Washington - and feature a prominent foreign hero of the American Revolution Marie Joseph Paul Yves Roch Gilbert du Motier, the Marquis de Lafayette a hero of the American Revolution. ONLY 50,000 coins were minted, however; only 36,000 were issued, the remainder being melted. ******** MY - Pricing ******** OVER TIME, I found that starting with my minimum price saves on Ebay fees and buyer's time. Normally the price will appeal to the average numismatic collector/dealer who finds wasteful starting at $.99 on a coin evidently worth $1000. Having to wait 10 days - to discover a reserve at twice the book value - is an insult. I NEWER use shills or multiple identities to protect - bid - on my coins ** NEWER**. At my auctions - if there is no competition - you will own it at my minimum price. MANY, MANY THANKS !!!
