Description This is one of the most beautiful Love Tokens I've ever seen, with exquisite hand engravings that feature the date 1887 and the monogram or initials MP or PM. The initials are surrounded by a scalloped dotted border and the date is surrounded by lovely flourishes and a scalloped dotted border. The artist polished off the dime features and made a beautiful piece of art for the lucky loved one who received it. They even added a loop which is in perfect original condition. This is an extraordinary piece of art in mint condition! I did not polish it as I do not know if the buyer wants to preserve the patina. I will leave that up to you.   Many victorian women wore these on pins, as bracelets or necklaces and the men wore these as watch fobs.  They were remembrance tokens made from solid silver coins that were polished down on one side and then deeply engraved with the loved one's initials. Just have your jeweler drill a hole and add a jump ring so you cn add it to your charm bracelet. Or for you collectors, a great find!
