Description
1869 $10 Legal Tender (Rainbow) Allison-Spinner Rare! You are looking at one of the RAREST notes ever produced. This is the 1869 Ten Dollar ($10.00) Treasury Note, also referred to as the "RAINBOW" USA large note. This note is extremely rare and hard to find! The Serial Number is H1091158. This note was signed by: Allison / Spinner. The portrait in the lower left of the face is Daniel Webster. The figure on the right of the face is the presentation of the Indian Princess Pocahontas to the court in England. At the bottom center is a small eagle which, when held upside down, resembles the head of a donkey, giving rise to the appellation "Jackass Note ". The photos are the actual note. It has been graded by CGA as a VERY FINE 20 due to a slight tear above the number 10, otherwise this note would have graded a lot higher and commanded at least double the price! Great way to get into an affordable piece for your collection that still has great coloring and appears much better than it's grade. This note is in absolutely amazing condition with beautiful colors and very little wear! It is truly gorgeous and a wonderful addition to any collection.
