BALL 1 CRISWELL 5' Description   Collectible Coin and Currency 1861 $50 CONFEDERATE BOND VERY FINE!! BALL 1 CRISWELL 5 !!    This fixed price auction is for a $50 ~1861 CONFEDERATE BOND. BALL 1 CRISWELL 5. Grades Very Fine!! A very unique collectible!! Bond size is 13.5 inches high by 14 inches wide. This early Montgomery bond was printed by the small New Orleans printer John Douglas. Bond Seal is barely visible. I tryed to photograph this bond as carefully as possible. The bond is very dramatic in hand. No pinholes. No tears or unsightly folds. The number one is printed in the upper right hand corner. I assume because it is a Ball number 1. This bond is from the William A. "Bill" Bond Collection. Some of the coupons were redeemed and then the Civil War ended shortly after that and the rest of the coupons are left intact!! You will not be disappointed!! The bond will come in a Mylar D holder and the frame shown.. The Mylar D is the protective slip for the bond. This is so the acids for the frame will not damage the bond and turn it yellow. I would recommend NOT taking the bond out of the Mylar D and hanging it outside of the Mylar D holder.  This will look great in your collectible room.  I have a confederate bond in my collectible room, put one in yours.
