Description
Here is one of several 19th century circulated coins we currently have listed.  We are more than happy to combine shipping, the cost to ship multiples would be about the same as shipping one, plus insurance.   See photos for condition.    Auctions are consigned in an auction format so please do not ask for a buy it now price.  We are selling antiques and collectibles and used or older items which will have imperfections, wear, minor damage, sometimes odors, or other age or use related issues.  We will do our best to note any damage that is obvious, visible, disfiguring, or beyond ordinary wear.  We are more than happy to provide additional photos if asked before packing.  Items are consigned and are described to the best of our ability with the information we have. If something is not clear, don’t guess or assume, please ask.  If we are not familiar with an item we may not know if something is missing, or if it is "right", and that lack of knowledge is not an attempt to deceive. Photos are part of the description.  Some box lots are not described individually in order to list with no reserve and a low starting price, but we will try to answer questions about a particular item you see in a box lot if possible.  Box lots are as is as found. Included in the total shipping there is a 1.00 packing material/handling fee for this auction.  Most items are double boxed so keep that in mind when looking at the shipping costs.    Payment due within 7 days of auction end. SHIPPING: We prefer a buyer waits until invoiced before paying.  The shipping calculator total is rarely the actual shipping total.  We pass on any online discounts we receive for printing a label online to the buyer.  For some international purchases the post office includes free insurance. Also sometimes Fed Ex may be an option that saves a buyer money.  Additionally, NYS sales tax has to be added on.  If you do pay before we get an invoice to you we will send a partial refund for any overpayment, but we also expect to be reimbursed for any shortage.  We want to keep the items available for questions and unless we pack we can not be sure of final box size and weight.  But we feel that the ability to answer questions or send additional photos is more important that being exact on shipping, and it is rare it will be more that we guessed at.  LOCAL PICK UP is always welcome but if the item is packed buyer will have to pay the packing materials/handling fee stated in the auction.  We generally start packing a day or so before auctions end so we can send out invoices promptly.  INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:  Insurance is required on all auctions so no first class international, sorry. The auction sold price is the only amount that will be used on insurance or customs forms. If an item can not be insured to your country for the auction price or it is prohibited to ship that type of item to your country we may have to sell to the back bidder, it is your responsibility to know your country's limits and restrictions.  Occasionally insurance limits on priority international are not enough to cover the item(s) so it may be split into multiple packages or sent in a manner which is more expensive.  Paypal requires signature confirmation for anything over $250.00, so we require it also for our own protection. DAMAGE/RETURN POLICY: If you receive a damaged item either party can start a claim, do not throw away the box or packing materials until it is inspected. If you receive an item and it is significantly different than we described, contact us within 3 days of receipt so that we can reach an agreement we are both satisfied with. Since the change to the feedback system we have seen attempts at veiled or subtle threats from bidders trying to extort a partial refunds with feedback, not wanting to return the item, but attempting to just get it cheaper.  If we feel that is the case a return with full refund will be the only option and that threat will be reported to Ebay.  If we made a mistake or missed something just verify it with a photo or whatever is needed to shows us what we did wrong, and we will work with you to resolve the issue, no problem, no threats necessary. Items returned must be done so with insurance and delivery confirmation.    SALES TAX  will be invoiced for all NY state buyers unless a valid resale number is provided.  NY State tax % is based on where the item is delivered and applies to shipping and handling, so we can not use ebay's format for showing sales tax in the auction. Please keep in mind there are things a seller can not control and it is not fair to blame the seller or nip at their stars during the feedback process because of these things!  If a buyer chooses parcel post to save on the cost of priority it is not our fault it may take 2 weeks to get to the west coast, and the post office hardly ever scans the boxes to show their travel.  It is the post office that does not insure first class international or flat rate envelopes, and because items are not ours and because of ebay and paypal policies we have to have items insured. Paypal will not let a buyer waive insurance, even if we have that in writing they will still allow a buyer to file a claim (on the rare occasion an item is lost or damaged) and reimburse them, and then we are out the money that is owed to the consignor.  We are not responsible for what the shippers charge or how long they take to get it there once we drop it off - we ship same or next day.
