The Mint started the year with Large Date and Large Letters, then went to Large Date and Small Letters for a little while, then went to Small Date and Small Letters for most of the year. The scans will show you that the toning is apparently 174 years old and, other than the rim damage on both sides, the coin just shows normal wear consistent with the EF grade, with the reverse better-struck than the obverse. The Lettered Edge is complete and easily read without magnification.
