Certification # 4048311. Net Graded AU50. Only 423,515 were ever minted according to records. Just how many have survived in this condition, not to mention the history one can imagine behind this one single coin!!! This Heraldic Eagle in it's net grade list in the 2009 Red Book at $8,500.00. Given its strong strike, overall appearance and the fact that it has been net graded by Anacs which I believe does not reflect it's "true grade" should be valued for far more.   I purchased this coin sometime ago from an estate and sent it to Anacs for certification. This is a very rare coin in its condition regardless of the labeled opinion. I consider this coin's "in my opinion" actual grade to be AU55 to AU58 A High Grade example of the year.
