Description
This is a great example of one of the earliest coins minted in America, the 1798 Large Cent. There were several varieties in this year and I believe this would be termed as a Normal Legend Rev. Type of 1797, with Head of 1799. There is an obvious die crack mark on the reverse that looks just like Breen's 1726 on page 194. This rare early cent is part of the series that only ran until 1807. This is the last series that used 1/100 on the reverse and it's a beautiful piece of American History. This Large Cent has nice details, a very good rim, and consistent good color. In VF PCGS lists this rare coin @ $1850 and it really jumps after that. I am not a grader and I try to take good pictures so that you can grade the coin for yourself. This coin is guaranteed to be a genuine 1798 Large Cent! 1700's early American coins in this condition are getting harder to find, so don't miss this opportunity! PLEASE NOTE that I am also selling off many other pieces of my rare coin collection, including an 1804 Half Cent and other high grade beauties, so see my other auctions for more rare coins!!! I am selling this Early Large Cent at just 99 Lincolns and with NO RESERVE. Please see the pictures for more details and check out my other auctions for many more high grade coins. Also, check out my 100% feedback rating and bid with confidence! Insured shipping will be just $7 for this rare coin and I will combine shipping for multiple wins! I accept PayPal and other payment forms. Thanks for looking and bidding! Be blessed!
