How I Acquired My Coins Is In The Story Below If You Are Interested....... Basically I acquired very few of my grandfathers many coins who was a numismatist. I remember as a child him with his huge books of coins & his grading books & him with the magnifying glass writing on each coins cardboard sleeves letters & numbers & grading each one in his own way (I'm talking literally 1,000's of coins if not more). He was a master of all trades & retired at 26 & picked up the hobby & I guess became very good at what he did. He collected coins from all over the world & acquired some of the rarest in the world & amazed many coin dealers by his own personal collection worth hundreds of thousands (he had the money to spend & that's what he spent it on) but he really loved to brag about his collection. In the meantime my grandfather passed on unfortunately in 93' & no one really appreciated the sets of coins, the rarity or the time he took to put together one of the biggest coin collections I ever saw. They always impressed everyone, even coin dealers & other numismatist's themselves. But as with any estate my aunts & uncles went through everything & took the most valuable of coins from VDB Pennies, to Misprints, some from even the 1700's, Rare Gold Uncirculated Sets (one coin sold for around $8,000 & it was the least expensive one of the set), All his work & effort that went into collecting a masterpiece was broken up into pieces, some here some there - but in the midst I had taken some to hold onto as my own memory of him, not the best ones just the ones that were in one of his few separate books of the not so perfect coins ones with flaws, not the rarest & best of his extensive collection but just some to have my own memory of him & what he loved for years for myself. Well in essence time has passed & I have a box full of coins never taken out of his cardboard sleeves until I took pictures of them for Ebay (it was impossible to take pictures of them in the sleeves, but all in all I would rather someone else have them that can appreciate them as much as he did & add them to their collection & look at them & show them off proudly just like he did. I think I'm doing them an injustice by just shoving them away in a closet to be forgotten about until I need something from that closet & come across them again I plan to keep a few but the rest I will sell - so here they are........
