This lovely coin is clean and smooth with hard, glossy and defect free, surfaces. The details are clear, though the date is slightly struck off the planchet. Even the diagnostic reverse die break, extending from the reverse bust to the left edge at center, is extremely sharp. There is only some very faint cabinet friction on the highest points noted. A prior collector's white die notations (easily removable) are found on the left obverse field, which adds to this coin's originality and character. An impressive Connecticut copper.
