FIFTY-TWO Old GOLD Coins Going back to 1854!!! LOTS of GOLD...FOR THE TIMES WE LIVE IN! By this time next year, it's clear now that the value of the US Dollar will be dramatically lower. This affects everyone who must deal in dollars, and experts agree that the best way to protect yourself, is to OWN GOLD. Gold has maintained it's value for thousands of years, and it's only relatively recently that modern people have "forgotten" how important gold has always been to commerce in the world. Six British Gold Sovereigns, Highly collectible plus it doesn't hurt that every coin contains almost 1/4 ounce on gold! A "roll" of 10 Swiss Helvetia's 23 Mexican Dos Peso's 2 French 20 Francs HERE WE HAVE one of the nicest Collections of OLD gold coins we've seen in a while! Lots of different nations represented. Click small picture to enlarge ClicPicO Click small picture to enlarge. ClicPic Gallery Software. Don't miss this Golden Opportunity!!! OLD SALESMAN CASE, CURRENCY THE LARGEST HOARD OF OLD FOREIGN BILLS WE HAVE EVER SEEN! ALL DIFFERENT CONDITIONS, SEE THE MASSIVE VARIETY!! TOO MUCH TO RESEARCH, SEE THE PHOTOS... WE ESTIMATE OVER 330 PIECES IN THIS COLLECTION... So much history here SOME real nice US material, "Hawaii" is printed on the back of one. A Confederate Note is included too. Gold seals, BLUE seals, Red, Green and Brown, a VALUABLE collection that you will enjoy owning! LOTS of OLD BILLS...VERY NICE!! Some STAR Notes seen... Conditions...Most of this collection is real nice, but we do see some that have writing, some of the bills have corners missing, etc. Do check the photos, we try to show as much as we can... "HORSEBLANKET", LARGE NOTE... They're all GENUINE, but no, you probably can't spend it anymore. Of course, you wouldn't want to anyway a "keeper" for sure. And don't try and ask your bank teller to exchange your Ten Dollar "Gold Note" for gold. INSIDE THE CASE... We initially were told this was an old salesman case, but with the old currency collection / accumulation on top, perhaps no one paid any attention that there really was still old salesman samples at the very bottom! A bit of a "time capsule", rather interesting, some of these items are probably quite scarce. There is true HISTORY here, so see the photos. Several birthday card samples from the 30's.. 9 cute birthday cards came from a salemans book. These are unused but have black paper on the back from where they were originally glued. Comes with their original envelopes. A old time stove labeled "Queen". A small toolkit/ promotional package... A cute pair of salt and pepper shakers, true vintage diner pieces, from the 50's- 60's era. A "Beaver Brand" Canoe Paddle. The paddle is only 15 1/4" long, a true rarity. An "incredible" old time decoy duck. It looks like real feathers on the body. It's small (about 10 inches long), there isn't too many of these around. Take a closer look at this old 5 piece furnace sample, Great condition for it's age... Minature brass and copper pots and pans, all are marked "Holland" except 2 of the larger pots with lids, Measurements on these are roughly from 1 3/4" UP TO 2 1/2"... 1941 Homeland Tailors Kit One large case of various material samples, really quite heavy. Before the internet and television a lot of companies used traveling salesman to sell their goods. In this day and age it's not quite as popular. Do you miss the days when you got a knock on your door with someone selling vacuums, water purifers, knives, or other items? We don't miss them at all. Please take a closer look at the pics... MODERN ARTWORK Alexi Von JAWLENSKY Original Drawing Alexei von Jawlensky is a very important modern artist whose work is often compared to that of Matisse, although his style is so unique, in some sense it defies too casual a comparison. Born in Russia, the son of an army officer, it seemed as though Alexei was set to follow in his father's footsteps. But in 1880, after seeing an exhibition at the World's Fair in Moscow, he determined to become an artist as well. In 1902, after discharging his military duties, he moved to Munich, Germany with his young wife, in the hopes of seriously pursuing art. There he met the famous artist Wassily Kandinsky, also from Russia, and together they founded the New Artist's Society. While Jawlensky rejected absolute abstraction, he continued to embrace the new modern forms, and came to find his truest expression in his iconic portraits, faces that mysteriously hinted at his Russian Orthodox upbringing... The drawing we offer here is a very compelling original piece, It has to be seen to be fully appreciated. A remarkable piece, sure to be treasured by it's new owner! IN REGARDS TO VALUE... 2 different appraisals were done on this piece. Take a look below for more info. All appraisal documents will go to the winner. The first appraisal puts the replacement cost at $200,000. The appraiser definition of replacement cost is "the retail amount one might reasonably pay to purchase the from a dealer, gallery, store, etc. It is also the amount for which one may want to insure an item." The comments mention how hot Jawlensky drawings are right now. It shows no signs of cooling off either, We can only imagine the value of this piece in a couple years. A true investment piece. The second appraisal agreed that this was an amazing piece. But came up with a different replacement value. IN GENERAL: One other important point we should be clear about regarding original artwork. Pieces may indeed be fully original, definitely not mechanical repros or prints, and sometimes even exhibit a proper signature of a famous artist, but it is not always easy to determine if a particular piece was indeed executed by that artist. Further, expert opinions are often just that...opinions, so be aware of that when formulating your bids. Do your own research when possible, be an informed bidder. SOUTH AMERICAN OIL PAINTING Micheal Whipple Lithograph A nice lithograph from an up and coming American artist includes a COA and an appraisal for $2250 from 2006. Michael Whipple is known as the "Master of Light" due to his unique style of painting. He is up and coming in the world of Fine Art. "PAINTING VALUED AT $3,000 SELLS FOR $4.5 MILLION..." Perhaps you read the recent AP article with this title. If not, please look it up, it is by Thomas Wagner, reporting from London, it is well-worth reading. The article says that "experts" had valued a painting a only $3,078, but when it went to auction, it sold for $4.5 million!! Why? Because true art collectors don't really trust what "experts" say (who often intentionally devalue a piece, with the secret intention of purchasing it themselves, at a huge discount!) But sophisticated art investors will pay top-dollar for the right pieces. These are folks that have money to burn, and if they like a piece, they have the means to pay, and will not allow anyone else to take it from them! THIS is reality in the world of Fine Art, and it is the best reason to INVEST in quality pieces. PLEASE keep this in mind as you evaluate our offerings! ANTIQUES AND OTHER TREASURES A Real BEAUTY of a BOWL Underneath it's marked. Hard to say how old it might be, but it is just a beautiful handpainted piece, seems like they don't make 'em that nice anymore. A lovely old Cracker Jar, Good condition for it's age (see the photos), It is surprisingly heavy! The most precious little antique tea cup and saucer Antique Cresent Dishes All are in excellent condition, No time to research these, Probably worth looking up if you get the time... BISQUE PORCELAIN COLLECTION Incredible old porcelain pieces, preserved in excellent condition, you seldom see pieces that survived this well. The old "Victorian" candle-holder is very interesting, It is in good condition with some minor condition issues. A porcelain piece of a young lady, Made in Spain, another old interesting piece... A priceless antique trinket box, Handpainted with a floral design, labeled "Lefton"... Treasures from Germany Take a look at this unique dish labeled "Dresden". An exqusite piece, hand painted and lots of attention to detail... Gorgeous bisque figurine over a century old with breathtaking details, A "Carl Schneider" piece, created sometime between 1879 and 1887. Collectors are looking for high quality pieces like this to add to this collection. Treasures from France An exquisite work of art, the more you look at these photos, the more you will realize how incredible this vase is. In excellent condition too! 2 porcelain footed eggs, Made in France, what a magnificent pair.... FRENCH ANTIQUE CLOCK AND CANDLEBRA SET So few fragile pieces such as this survive, you may literally never find another set like it in this condition. A true antique from the 1800's (we estimate it's from the 1860-1880's). Will create a very elegant effect for any home. The hues of the marble go well with the gold, and the face of the clock. The candelabras match of course, and look like they're in good condition. We just got this back in the nick of time (it missed the photo shoot for the main photos but better late than never!) It's just been cleaned and tuned up the clock has a mechanical movement (no batteries needed!), and of course includes the wind-up key. Please note this is a priceless antique it will be professional packed. Some assembly required. (Don't worry it's a snap to put back together). 105 Certified coins These are high quality, investment coins. And, we should emphasize, especially for those not familiar with coins, almost all of them have been certified by the TOP grading companies around. Each coin is superbly beautiful... This is NOT second-rate dealer overstock, it is a solid investment portfolio! It's Amazing How Much Higher Graded Old US Coins Go For These Days! Great Looking Mint State Coin. A WORD ABOUT CERTIFIED COIN VALUES: A seasoned coin collector or dealer may want skip this section, but for the rest, this may help in determining values more consistent with reality. Unfortunately, there is much misinformation concerning this topic. While pcgs.com is regarded as a very reliable place to check values, it must be remembered that those values are for coins that THEY certify. If another grading service has been used, typically, the values MUST be considered to be LOWER. How much lower? That depends on the service. Coin dealers use a newsletter known as the "gray sheet" or CDN (Coin Dealer Newsletter) to find values more in line with wholesale. You may never be shown this if you ventured into your local coin shop. However, it is useful for our purposes here. In a "box" on the front page, statistics are kept about the top grading services. For example, PCGS and NGC usually get between 85 – 94% of their listed values. They are somewhat regarded as a benchmark in excellence. Next down the list comes ANACS and ICG (a newer grading service that has earned a good reputation). While ICG or ANACS coins may generally not be regarded as highly as PCGS, it certainly doesn't mean those coins are third rate, not at all, but it does mean that they will often trade at lower dollars. In the case of ICG now, the dealer-to-dealer, "sight-unseen" rates might average about 83% compared to PCGS. But they can be lower too, much lower, depending on the grading company, and there are many others, some with good reputations, and others not so good. Please keep these things in mind as you make your evaluations. If possible, do your own research, be an informed bidder. Incredible potential here! Bonus: 100 additional slabbed coins These additional coins are all from various third-party companies. Typically, these coins sell for less than what a similiar coin from PCGS or NGC would sell for. Some believe that these companies grade their coins with a different standard. We are not coin grading experts, and we do not endorse any grading services, we sell estates. Please examine these coins carefully and if you have any questions ASK. We noticed a few 90% Silver coins in the mix. The great thing about these coins are that they are all over Ebay and there is a HUGE market for these coins, they resale extremely well and are very profitable for resellers. But please remember just because a coin is graded perfect doesn't make it perfect. So, there is a grand total of 205 slabbed coins (100 can be considered "certified") in this estate!! The Collection contains a lot of High Value, Highly Collectible Stamps. Includes one partially filled book from "British Europe". Very unique mix including stamps from the Soviet Union, Hologram stamps and even some from North Korea Commemorating The Royal Wedding Between Princess Diana And Prince Charles. Take a closer look at the MASSIVE amount of stamps, Collections like this don't come around often. Catalog Value of these is over $5,700. Don't miss this Once In A Lifetime Opportunity. When you open up this priceless antique trinket box its reveals hundreds of carats of gemstones. YES, THESE ARE GENUINE LOOSE GEMSTONES!!! Most appear to be completely natural, ALL are genuine. Nice collection of jewelry. Costume pieces are nice quality, Notice the RED necklace, and it's matching earrings, they're simply stunning! Vintage 3 Strand Crystal Glass Necklace $6,956.00!! Two of the newer pieces in this collection was accompanied by Valuation documents, but this amount is generally regarded as "replacement" values. Documents also go to the winner. AMETHYST GOLD RING ATTENTION 50's Fashionista's! Here we have one gorgeous deadstock in box set! It consists of a very ornate bracelet, necklace and screwback dangle earrings. Box labeled L'amour Fifth Ave! ART DECO VALUE...The market for better old Deco pieces is extraordinarily "hot" right now, and you would be hard pressed to find anything quite like these. Often people think of stark blacks and whites when they think of "Deco", but the style was much broader than the simplistic caricature often cited. Collectors are looking for solid pieces, genuine 1930's Deco items that are not only top-quality, but also out of the ordinary. Here you have it all, we dare say that these items could well prove to be unique. Our brief research did not positively identify them, but "similar" items seemed to be so seldom offered, always a frustrating "sold", and most often for substantial sums we would never have guessed! We wish we had more to report for our bidders, but perhaps you are a better researcher, or have more time than we have been given. These could be real "sleepers" as far as value! ART DECO BRONZE FIGURINE STATUES 2 classic figures boy and girl playing musical instruments, absolutely stunning! Expect to pay dearly at auction for these exquisite pieces! Not sure if these all actually were always together, but they have been kept that way for years, and they do in fact "go" together quite well. Here is two iconic Art Deco glazed ceramic figures. Lovely pieces that has only minor issues (see close-ups). The base is slightly hollowed out,(at one point flowers were placed in the hollow spaces to make a truely unique statement) the rest solid, a somewhat heavy piece. They're larger too. Beautiful CRYSTAL perfume bottle, looks almost new, still has a sticker on it from the maker Several of the pieces have unique patterns, we did not recognize but would be worth looking into.... Beautiful Crystal Candy Dish A first-class collection!! ACTUAL close up photos below, not merely "representative," you will receive everything. NICE VARIETY... TREMENDOUS VALUE! The price of silver has been going up, and these old coins are a great investment. there are no clad, it's all 90% silver, expect to receive 100's of dollars in face value!!(And yes the treasure chest is included!) An incredible lot of OLD SILVER COINS... Please don't let this opportunity slip away from you!! SILVER WASHINGTON QUARTER COLLECTION!!! FROM 1932 - 1964, a VERY popular set! Since the state quarter program began, lots of new collectors have started collecting quarters. The problem is that these new collectors soon find out that they are almost never going to see a SILVER quarter in circulation anymore, and so their Washington sets can only go back to 1965. The only ones not in this set are the two 1932's. This will be a great collection to finish up your Washington quarters! Book #1 goes from 1932 and oddly ends at 1963. The second book starts at 1960(bonus you get 2 of every year from 1960-1963!) also includes the clad quarters all the way up to 1979. Book #3 contains the clad quarters up to 1980. SILVER MERCURY DIME COLLECTION A very classic design, and an incredibly popular coin to collect. Of course, there are some very tough dates in this series, but this collection has all the regular issues except the notorious 16-D. The 1921 and '21-D are here. A tough collection this nice, definitely better than average. DID YOU KNOW that there are many dates in this series that are poised to SOAR in value, as collectors realize just how scarce these coins are? Some very low mintages to begin with, coupled with an overuse of all coins in circulation during the Great Depression, make this an excellent set for the investor. Take a look at the pics! COMPLETE SILVER ROOSEVELT DIME COLLECTION Picking up right were the Mercury dimes ended the Silver Roosevelt dime set up to 1964, Complete set, none missing. LINCOLN WHEAT PENNY COLLECTION A unique little book of wheat pennies, has a penny from every year(not mint mark) from the 1st year of issue till 1940. A whitman folder starting at 1941 and going all the way up to 1958 (the last year of the wheat penny), Includes the famous steel pennies. JEFFERSON NICKEL COLLECTION Jefferson nickel set starting at 1938 thru 1958, includes the "Silver War Nickels" KENNEDY HALF DOLLAR COLLECTION A nice Kennedy Half Dollar Collection, goes up to 1985 and remember the early years of these contained silver. Please note it is missing the issued in mint sets only 1970-D. SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW... We did note that the oldest seen was 1940, Some really nice quality material here. No question it's going to be fun to go through. PLEASE take a moment and look at the photos below, It will be well worth your time! VALUE? Some still had individual prices on them (Ten bucks for just one??) A few looked like original artwork maybe on the covers. Some were extreme limited editions. There are a HUNDRED here, It's a nice big group, retail value would be large. EXPECT to receive POUNDS of Coins, and by weight, we estimate that all together, the coins in this Estate lot add up to over TEN-THOUSAND (10,000) coins!! Mostly WHEAT cents, but it looks like there's old Buffalo nickels and Indian cents too, maybe other stuff as well, NOTHING NEW SEEN, ALL IS OLD. Probably some good opportunity here, PLEASE TAKE A LOOK... AND MORE... A beautiful Tapestry piece There's more! We wish we had more time to describe it all in detail, but you have already been very patient with this long listing, THANK YOU. A few highlights... Vintage CHERUBS are very nice, please don't confuse these with new repros of this classic theme. Take a look at the hand carved african woman wood statue. A vintage World Cookbook. And please don't miss the Arnart 5TH AVENUE handpainted pitcher. It is in excellent condition, and there is a number on the bottom too. Click small picture to enlarge ClicPicO Click small picture to enlarge. ClicPic Gallery Software. The pictures below are of a small collection of Royalty Collector items. Click small picture to enlarge ClicPicO Click small picture to enlarge. ClicPic Gallery Software. AND EVEN MORE... A nice collection of 20 STERLING SILVER collector spoons, Most had price tags on them the lowest seen was $35 for just one. Take a look at the close up of the "windmill" spoon. Something we haven't seen before a pair of chinese hand painted eggs in a box. A Russian marble egg is another unique piece. Click small picture to enlarge ClicPicO Click small picture to enlarge. ClicPic Gallery Software. As you can see, this is a tremendous lot, incredible potential value, but there can be ONLY ONE winner. PLEASE. If you want the lot, do not wait until the last minute to bid! we recently had an auction that ended far lower than anyone anticipated. Afterwards, we received quite a few emails reporting that there was a "technical" problem on eBay, and that they "tried" to bid (at the last minute!), but pages wouldn't load, etc. YES, this sort of thing happens! We even had a person email telling us that his "snipe" bid didn't go through! All we can tell you is that the best "defense" against this happening to you is to simply put in your bid in enough time. At least you'll be "in the game"! Otherwise, you might be taking a chance, and this kind of thing may NEVER come around again! GOOD LUCK! Payments:We prefer direct wire transfers. We also accept checks And money orders. All mail payments held 7 days. Payment Is Due Within 5 Days Of Auction Close. If not received, payment is considered delinquent 7 days after auction close. Final Words: We hope you have enjoyed viewing this wonderful estate, and we thank you for your time. Please note, as this is a FINAL LIQUIDATION, ALL SALES ARE FINAL AND THERE ARE NO RETURNS. Also "escrow service" is not available, due to the nature of this lot. Escrows are often effective with single items of higher value, and they certainly have a place, but here we have too much that has not been gone through in detail, and we would have no way of ensuring that the lot would remain intact. If you are not comfortable with this, we respectfully request that you refrain from bidding.
