Interestingly enough, the first 18 pattern dollars were struck with the name "E.Christian Gobrecht F." between the date and the base.  "F" means "Fecit" or "he made it" in Latin.  Gobrecht was criticized for being conceited, so his name was placed at the bottom of the base.  You can see it on this coin!  The coin will be sent registered mail, insured.  EBAY has a special pre-qualification policy for bids over $15,000.00, so please check with them and pre-qualify so you will not be disappointed (I will be disappointed if the coin does not go over $15,000.00). I am accepting PayPal so more interested bidders will have a chance to bid and pay by credit card.
